Position Summary

This Accounts Receivable – Accountant is responsible for effective, efficient and accurate management of customers’ accounts by ensuring timely billing/issuance of invoices and close monitoring/follow up of customer payments to enable timely collections and attain maximum collection efficiency level within established framework.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Checks contracts with customers, ensure correctness of Purchase Orders from customers against the contract terms and conditions
  • Interacts with Supply Chain and respective Sales Managers and arrange issuance of Proforma Invoices for payment request
  • Diplomatic interaction with customers to provide billing information and support to facilitate swift collection of payments.
  • Collaborates with Warehouse in-charge to maintain accurate records of stocks/inventory and conducts interim reconciliation with Warehouse records.
  • Ensures proper and complete documentation are available to support every records of material releases (SRF, DN).
  • Maintains customers’ accounts, reconciles and resolves any record discrepancies Deals with customers’ account queries promptly
  • Keeps a close follow-up of payments from customers
  • Prepares monthly Sales Summary & Collection Report
  • Records Sales/Invoices, Delivery Notes and others material releases including RMAs in the system (Quickbooks)
  • Proper filing of customer documents

Qualifications and/or Experience: 

  • Degree Holder – Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • At least 5years experience in the same role
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Proficient in Accounting Software particularly Quickbooks, ERP systems & Microsoft office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Can handle assigned work with less supervision
  • Keen to details & Strong analytical skills
  • Flexible and willing to do multi-tasking role when required
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively
