Job Description Summary:
The Application Engineer will be responsible to manage all of the technical, pre and post sales aspects with regards to Architecture Engineering Construction (AEC) with a primary focus on the technical aspect, supporting the business development team with the development of technical presentations and delivery of workshops to the client.
The Application Engineer will consistently demonstrate his/her ability to deal with clients at a business-to-business level, identifying and providing solutions that fulfill the business/technical needs of customers, in addition to supporting the business development team in a pre-sales capacity demonstrating and presenting the iTech services
Technical Responsibilities:
Providing telephone, online, virtual, and on-site technical support
Maintain detailed notes of all client communications
Keeping abreast of technical support and issues.
Pre and Post Sales Responsibilities:
Supporting the business development team in creating presentations
Provide technical product assistance to both internal and external sales representatives in the development and closing of sales opportunities
Needs assessment, Training assessment, Pre-Sales Presentations
Deliver monthly & quarterly events, seminars, training schedules and moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
Conduct Architecture Engineering Construction (AEC) training and workshops
Prepare workflow presentations and follow-up on new sales opportunities arising from presentation/seminars.
Technical Alignment: Development Process to gain a competitive advantage, to set technical alignment and expectations and to remove technical obstacles
Other Responsibilities:
Responsible to create and update all media posts for the company website and other social media forums regarding the company, its brand and design technology
Learn new and third-party design technology programs
Perform other duties as necessary or required
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
A degree in Architecture / Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ project experience – Architecture, design or related industry
Minimum 2 years’ experience – technical, pre & post sales experience in the IT industry/environment
Ability to read and understand plans, specifications and BIM modeling
Ability to understand BIM (modelling requirements, BIM Uses, BIM execution)
Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and understanding of construction methods, processes, and systems.
Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and understanding of Autodesk Software including Revit and Navisworks
Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and understanding of Microsoft office software.
Must be able to demonstrate experience instructing users on software and/or supporting software applications in an organization
Must be able to demonstrate excellent presentation and communication with clients both written and verbally
Must be able to demonstrate proven success conducting events/seminars and moving opportunities through the sales cycle
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to craft solutions with appropriate products and services that meet the required goals based on client discussions
Experience in other applications such as Microstation, ESRI, etc. would be an advantage
Demonstrate effective written and verbal English language communication skills.
Ability to use judgment, problem‐solving ability, self‐starting and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors.
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to travel within the GCC
